Eight cricket tournaments across four formats occurred at the Southeast Asian Games 2023 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. These include tournaments for 50 overs, T20 cricket, T10 cricket, and 6s cricket (six-a-side cricket). Every format has a men’s and a women’s event.
Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand competed at the men’s events. At the same time, Myanmar will represent the women’s events.
It was expected that Vietnam would compete, but they withdrew. Only hosts Cambodia participated in all eight events.

Teams will receive ranking points for participating in T20 tournaments, which have been granted full T20 International (T20I) status.
The seven other cricket events at SEA Games 2023 have a gold medal and bronze medal playoff matches, except the men’s 6s events in which all teams will compete once.
Cricket matches at the SEA Games 2023 start on April 29, almost a week before the opening ceremony.
Phnom Penh’s AZ Group Cricket Oval will host all cricket matches at the 2023 SEA Games.
The sport will only be played at the SEA Games for the second time. T20 and 50-over tournaments for men and a women’s T20 event occurred at the SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur in 2017.
Singapore won men’s T20 gold, while women’s 50 overs and women’s T20 gold went to Malaysia and Thailand.

On May 10, 2023, the Philippine women’s cricket team won a silver medal in the 6-a-side event at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games.
After losing to Indonesia, 25-78, the team returned to beat Cambodia, 54-42, and secure a spot in the finals.
